Blackjack Strategy Chart Basics
Learning a blackjack strategy chart is a great way to improve your chances at winning blackjack online games. These charts have been around for some time and are a simple way to visually represent the key terms used in any blackjack strategy or game. These charts are not official and cannot be relied upon to accurately represent an actual hand of cards – they are just there to help you memorize important terms and strategies. The best way to learn though, is by actually understanding the basic rules of blackjack strategy.
There are three main terms you should learn to describe the different hands you may encounter when playing blackjack: the strapper, the straight and the flop. A strapper is a hand that is considered to be unreachable by all but the most reckless players. In a game where there are at least four players, a strapper is an unreachable hand. A straight is also an unreachable hand but it does represent a chance to make a win if you have stronger cards than your opponents.
The second term in a blackjack strategy chart is the flop. On a blackjack basic strategy chart, the flop is represented by a single vertical line. This represents the middle of the table. The value of the turn is represented by the amount on the flop, which can change from small to large later in the game. If you have a good flush, then this is a strong hand. On the other hand, if you are having trouble getting a strong hand, you may want to consider a pot of smaller denominations.
The third term is the number of decks dealt. On a blackjack strategy chart, the dealer stands at the bottom with his two face up cards. As more decks are dealt, the dealer stands to the right. When more new decks are dealt, the dealer stands to the left.
If you follow these three terms on blackjack strategy charts correctly, you will be well on your way to winning more pots and increasing your bankroll. However, you need to know that sometimes there are better options than these basic strategies. Some players use a blackjack strategy that combines the best of both these strategies.
One such combination is what is known as the quad. The quad basically means that you always act first and you always deal with your last card as soon as possible. This is a very risky strategy, but it is worth trying out because of the huge pay off when it works. Another variation on a blackjack basic strategy chart involves betting low to begin with, only to raise that amount after you have doubled your initial investment. Once you have doubled your investment you then place all of your winnings on the pot.
